TEGA
Otega Ahile-Williams was and has been irrevocably in love with the same girl for 3 years, 2 weeks and four days. Not that he was counting or anything...but then again was he?
His room was a gallery of piled up, crumpled pieces of paper, however, his heart was the main showpiece - a huge mess of mixed emotions. He wanted to let her go. To literally flush her out of his system, but how could he when unbeknownst to her she held his heart captive? Tega heaved a solemn sigh and threw another piece of paper on the floor as he stood up from his cane chair. He was a very handsome man, the kind you see on the cover of a GQ magazine with broad shoulders, a slim torso and attractive caramelly skin.
He had a faint scar close to the corner of his right eye, a mark he had gotten during a fight with a classmate when he was in Junior secondary. It sometimes reminded him of the fighter in him. Unfortunately, that fighter was either dead or intentionally asleep when it came to Naima.
His phone belted out the lyrics of Wizkid’s Essence. He grabbed it from his bed to see who was calling and couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Tosan, what's up?" he muttered as he rummaged through his closet for his green Big Bang Theory shirt. It was his favourite sitcom.
"Where you dey now, guy? It's almost noon and you know how Ibrahim becomes the hulk when it involves anything that has to do with his babe" Tosan said. Tega could hear his irritation at the other end of the line. They have been buddies since Junior secondary. Tosan is that friend that is a pain in the behind but is ever ready to take a bullet for you.
"I'm still at home Tos, I don't think I can make it anymore mehn" Tega muttered again.
"Ehn?! Please don't tell me this is about Naima" Tosan said sternly. "Guy, this thing you have for that girl is beginning to look like madness o. Especially considering the fact that you have refused to tell her how you feel."
Tega sighed again.
